Health is W.E.A.L.T.H.S Purpose: To promote healthy living and learning. What will I Learn? Students learn the pillars for a healthy mind & body and create their own wellness plan and implement it into their daily lives. The overall goal of the course is to improve students’ health, self-discipline, self-image, self-esteem and self-awareness in order for them to be cooperative and productive within their communities and successful in all their endeavors. Students will be engaged in interactive activities and discussions which teach and encourage holistic health such as anger management thru relaxation techniques, exercises, and healthy food demonstrations. In order to empower students to make choices and take action that will positively impact their own health and the health of their peers, families, and community the youth will be introduced to the skills and knowledge of a healthy lifestyle as well as how to’s, nuance and benefits of implementing healthy habits into their life.
