Free Produce Markets Resume in February
Access to fresh, nutritious food is critical to health. Many families in our community are struggling to purchase food and other basic necessities. To help residents, Columbus Recreation and Parks’ free Mobile Produce Markets will resume at select community centers in February. In 2020, markets provided nearly 305,000 meals to more than 25,000 residents.
Eligible families can receive a one-week supply of fresh produced, based on the family size. The drive-thru Mobile Produce Markets are staffed by volunteers wearing masks and gloves who load the produce directly into your trunk or car. Markets are first-come, first-served and last until produce runs out.
