Nationwide Children’s Hospital Mobile Care Center at Our School
(Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022)

The Nationwide Children’s Mobile Care Center and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile© (in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities©) will be at our school on Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022. The Mobile Care Center is like a doctor’s office – on wheels!

The Mobile Care Center can:

* Flu shots will be available to FHS students and staff on 10/12/22. Students must have a completed Flu Shot Form and the parent/guardian will receive a verification phone call before the vaccine is administered.

• Help when your child has a sore throat, bad cough, earache, headache
• Give shots
• Do blood work
• Perform checkups
• Send medication to the pharmacy
• Provide sports physicals
• Treat asthma
• Help with work permit physicals
• Test for pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections
• Provide education on birth control
• And more

When your child sees the health care provider at the Mobile Care Center, an After Visit Summary (AVS) will be sent home with your child. The AVS will describe the services provided and any recommended follow-up if needed. A copy will also be sent to your child’s pediatrician.

The Mobile Care Center bills for services just like a doctor’s office. No child will be denied care due to an inability to pay for services.

The services provided are not meant to replace your pediatrician or family doctor. When your child has any medical need, your first call should always be to your children’s pediatrician or family doctor who knows your child best.
