All schools in Ohio are required to provide appropriate services to students with disabilities. Sometimes there are students with disabilities who are not attending school because they are not aware of available services. Conditions that may go unidentified are hearing, visual, speech or language impairments, specific learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, multiple disabilities, cognitive disabilities, other health impairments, physical impairments, autism, and traumatic brain injury.
If you are aware of a high school-aged student through age 21 who may fit one of these descriptions, and who is not attending school, please contact Dr. Anne Hyland, Superintendent, or Jennifer Griffith, Principal, for additional information. Once our school is notified, we work with parents/guardians to let them know about the programs and services available. These can be modified to meet each student's learning needs. We maintain confidentiality and we help families develop an educational plan at no cost to the families.
